This spring the artists Lernert & Sander made space for the arrival of new collections at Kiki Niesten by reducing last season knitted garments from Fall/Winter ‘13 by Céline, Chloé, Jil Sander and Prada to balls of yarn: symbols of hope and aspiration.
Creating recycled yarns to re-knit

Failing to find another space, we had to lay out our work in the ceramics workshop. But actually, this proved to be a really interesting space to use, with a re-arrangement of the furnishings & a clean up it becoming a totally different space. And besides, it relates heavily to part of what my works been looking at.
It was a really good experience all round; laying out all our work and having to think of the clearest way of doing so that our concepts were translated, and then having a really good critical discussion about the project so far with our tutors.
I found bringing together the different groupings of experiments I’ve been working on and presenting them a really worthwhile thing to do, as it was a chance to stand back and review my work, and also made it clear to me what parts are working and what parts aren’t.
